Very deep partial lunar eclipse
Although this is a partial lunar eclipse it is very deep with more than 96% of the Moon鈥檚 surface covered by Earth鈥檚 darkest shadow鈥攊ts umbra.
The next total lunar eclipse is on December 31, 2028鈥揓anuary 1, 2029 and is dubbed the New Year鈥檚 Blood Moon Eclipse.
